Malaysia Budget Hotel Association (MBHA) – Sabah Chapter, is a non-goverment body with the objective of representing the common interest of all budget hotels in Sabah, to foster goodwill and cooperation among members, to promote good relations between the associates and the government and the public in general. Besides being a representative body to the relevant government agencies, authorities on behalf of its members, it also cooperates with other organisation parties or individuals. The Association also promotes excellent services and skills among employees and good business ethics and standards among each members.
Membership is opened to all that meet the following criterias : - Ordinary member – budget hotels having basic accomodation facilities registered as a hotel, resort, lodging house, rest house, motel, hostel, chalet, guest house or inns which is generally rated two (2) star or the equivalence and below. Associate member is for those involved in tourism industry and Honanary Member is appointed by the Association. MBHA Sabah Chapter has more than 100 active members.
